AGAIN

I started doing qwick sketches in Paris, France in 1981 out of shear desperation.  As I moved around when I came to a new town, I would have to walk in with my equipment to the tourist area, then walk out.

Eventually I ended up in Charleston, S. Carolina.  In the tourist area was a park that ran along the water.  There was a pier there that went out over the water.  That is where I worked.

By then I had a car, a little pick up truck.  Along side the park was a dirt parking lot.  That is where I parked.  Sometimes when I got tired and needed a break I'd go crash in the back of my truck. Talk about easy.
It was heaven.

Eventually they built a row of condos there and in the very center a big, bright, shiney, new art museum called Gallery One

One day I went and signed the building.

Years later I moved near Asbury Park, N.J.
To help make ends meet I'd sell art on the weekends
down on the boardwalk.

I found a really good place.  What they called the old
power plant.
The walls were black a perfect place to display art.

Now they want to turn it into a museum called

The New Jersey Museum of Contemporary Art

NJMoCA

What, again ?  Give me a break.

Do you think they'll let the guy who was there first in

ART

ART

Once there was a very attractive girl with well developed breast.  She was very popular.  Everyone wanted to be her friend.  She was invited to all the parties

When she went to the ball it was warm, the lights sparkled and there was laughter all around.  EVERYONE wanted to dance with her.

While the music played inside, outside standing by himself in the cold was an artist.  He wasn't very attractive.  Actually he was cold, broke, dirty and hungry. Nobody paid any attention to him.  Under his arm he had some drawings he was trying to sell to get something to eat.  There were no takers.

The years passed by, her beauty like a flower began to fade.  Her large, ample breasts began to sag.  Younger and prettier girls began to get more attention than her.  She caught her husband with another woman, her boyfriend with another man.

He on the other hand continued to draw. He did this for years with little or no recognition.  It was a long, hard, cold, difficult existence.  Sometimes he was so lonely he wondered if he existed. He was so ignored he thought he was invisible.  The good news was, he had a lot of time to practice.

Thru perseverance, hard work and dedication his work slowly improved.  Modest sales began to improve.

When she got out of rehab for the third time they met at an exhibition of his work.  She thought his work was beautiful.  She bought some then tried to seduce him.

He felt sorry for her so he went to the bed with her but was "turned off" by her flabby breast that hung to her stomach.

AZZBERRI PAWK

ASSHOLES

I have heard a lot of negative talk about the people that run this town.
I tried to be charitable and not rush to judgement, then they chopped down the trees.

It's sorta' like suicide by character assasination.

This town has so little character Ocean Grove makes it look like a wasteland.

Cultural wasteland for sure

Now I heard from someone in L.A.  Guess what, Asbury Park is the talk of the town
because they turned down the opportunity
to be the prime location for an on going mini-series The Boardwalk Empire

by Martin Scorse

I believe in not rushing to judgement

....but...!!!

...now that the evidence is in

I also heard that Madison Marquette is
opposed to the NJMoCA going up in
Ass bury Park

I'm not suprised.  Cultural Fascism
seems to be the norm here.

Add to it the queer McCarthyism of
ARTSCRAP
...and that ship of dilussional fools
The Tri-City News

..it's a wonder there not throwing
"real artist"
into the bonfires on the beach

ADVICE

...go home and wipe your own ass

ALF ALERT 003

ALF

Will be using this site as a clearing house for the
cultural skinny from the streets in
Azzberri Pawk

It is a a viable alternative to the the gay mafia
and queer MaCarthyism that sufficates creatvity and freedom of expression in
Azzberri Pawk

.....not to mention that ship of fools

Tri-City News

who are "out of touch".

This will be a venue giving exposure to a wide
spectrum of expression
including but not limited to
all the
arts

ALF ALERT 002

ALF

The Arts Liberation Front
of Azzberri Pawk

......is a "CULTURE CLUB"

...an on going, sometimes based in reality

cultural experience

The main objective is to have Azzberri Pawk declared a

"Cultural Sancturary"

A place where a musician an artist, etc. can put down a hat with out a license, without having
to pay taxes.  Where people can exercise the right to show thier appreciation by making a
donation

Can I get an ...amen and a ....KA-CHING
The end goal is to turn Azzberri Pawk in to the Venice Beach of the E. Coast
An open city

Last spring I attended the ARTSCAP planning meeting for thier recent "Art Fair"  At that meeting I presented a paper that first
called for the de-criminalizing of culture in AP

When Dennis Carrol called for suggestions I made four.  they are:

A.  A buskers fest.  "Busking" is the termed used for musicians who stand on a corner and play for tips.  A prize for best could be awarded at the end of the year.

B.  A chalk fest.  It is done all over like in Florida and Chicago
What it is, is camera candy?  It washes away with the first rain.  Prizes could be awarded.

C.  A Doo-dah Parade.  A Doo-dah parade occurs in Pasadena, Calif. the day before the Rose Bowl.  Azzberri Pawk could hold a con-current one.  Any thing goes from drag queens to precision brief case teams.  Google it up and view it for ideas.

D.  Turning the casino and the space between it and Stella Marina
into a performance space to entertain the people in the restaurant.

The casino could be used for ongoing art shows.  Art contest could be run as a way to generate income.  Charge an entry fee and award a prize.  People could vote for best of show.

These are goals and a the direction of

ALF

To achieve this objective ALF needs to raise seed money for
things like advertizing, etc.  To that end there are currently two ideas brewing.  They are:

ONE PLANET
ONE PEOPLE

...stickers, T-shirts and flags.  Interested parties should contact ALF
for details
BALANCE THE UNIVERSE
EAT THE RICH

...also, stickers, T-shirts

and

..........A FUND RAISER

To generate seed money for ALF

Someone offered a venue but no date.  ALF doesn't play open ended waiting games so we are seeking an alternative venue for the event.

ALF is offering a 50/50 split with an interested party

The Capt would do his famous performance piece, the "Last Hippy" and be doing qwick sketches and portraits on the spot and accepting commission for other works.
