What's wrong with
Azzberri Pawk
It lacks character. I traveled far and wide and have seen many places. Rarely have I come across a place as backward as this
It had very little character as is then they cut off thier noses to spite thier faces and cut down the trees and tore up the side walks. The guy who runs America's cup was happy. Those trees were rotten
and the branches fell off. When the bull dozer pushed them they fell right over. Then the cock suckin' editor of the local weekly said..."good I'm glad to see them go". Now it looks more urban.
Not my type of people. Not green at all
Then there is the police state situation. These guys are bored and want to discover crime where it doesn't exist so they don't feel guilty about taking thier pay checks for doing nothing.
No dogs, riding bikes and sitting on a rail. Get a life dude. I got run off the board walk with my ferret. I got run off the sidewalk by the local yard dog. No riding bicyles on the side walk downtown.
Another rule.
It's not about any real safety issue. There was nobody on the sidewalk. What's the problem?
EGO'S and POWER TRIP
He's got a gun and he can arrest you and put you in jail where's your guilty till proven innocent. He's bored and anxious to find fault. His lie requires somebody to play the bad guy cause it can't be him, he's the good guy.
It's all about power. I told you to do it and you will

A gun and a badge are crutches for
in-adequate, human failures.
Then there is the parking situation. It is not popular with the locals. AP is doing the wrong thing. They are trying to use the law to generate revenue
to help thier budget.
More and more town are seeing the lite that they can not run governments off ticket revenue.
Not only is it wrong it is flat out thievery. They are robbing you (Think of Allenhurst, NJ)
Deciet and Deception
The parking along the board walk has a three hour limit. That is not posted anywhere.
A tourist decides to visit AP for the weekend. He figures it's the shore so he brings his dog and his bicyle. He parks along the board walk and gets on his bike with his dog. (Hi crime against society).
First thing is he's told to walk his bike and no dogs. He takes the dog to the car and returns. He sits on a rail and is told he can't do that. He brakes out his guitar and decides to strum a few bars. He's told that he needs a permit to do it. Which is wrong, it's if you put a hat down for money.
Trouble is that the correct info is not translated to the guy on the beat. He's not having a good time so he decides to ride his bike into the city where he is run off the side walk by an over zealous officer who is looking for something, any excuse to be able to exercise his insatiable greed for power by telling someone what to do.
He returns to his car to find a forty dollar ticket even tho there is time left on the meter. The ticket sez: court appearance required. Why's that? Well people from New York would ignore a parking ticket. When you put court appearance required you can put out a warrant for arrest on the owner of the vehicle, even tho in fact he may not be the guilty party.
He gets stopped on the freeway one day and is arrested his vehicle towed for a hefty fee and it takes forever to get out of jail and prove that it wasn't him driving the car.

A word of advice to the city fathers..if it ain't a problem...what's the problem?
You want to increase your revenues be a little more accomadating and welcoming. Not so anxious to nip a little piece of flesh from the visitors to cover up your errors.
If you do that, they won't be back.

BELMAR ARTS COUNCIL
The Belmar Arts Council
...is one of the more active and well organized art groups in the area. It is supported by the city and it's active employee is our old friend Tara Collins who use to run B-Unique clothing store on Cookman in Asbury Park. That is where yours truely, the Capt did his first AP performance of the "last hippy".
Looking to get involved with a good art group with lot'sa opportunities to exhibit
