Asbury Park, N. Jerzi was blown away by the blow job of the century.  Irene was just "foreplay".

 

That was quickly followed by a snow storm on Nov  7th

 

I grabbed my camera and started shooting.  I watched the last lite go off around 9 pm Mon. night. 

That was the high point of the storm.  Water from the ocean was in the street but never entered the parking lot.

 

They stayed off for thirteen days.  I know that

Sandy is old news by now but I thought I'd share them anyhow.

...is the seniors home located at 206 1st Ave in

 Asbury  Park. Approx a hundred yards from the Stone Pony and a hundred and twenty yards from the surf line. These were taken Tues. AM

....is nearby.  There were a lot of trees down.

This was  a Jewish beach club at the bottom of

Deal Lake.  It was totaled.

 

 

 

OCEAN PLACE

 

...runs along the beach in Loch Arbour.  Most homes were totaled.  My friend who lived there talked about ten foot waves breaking on his front lawn and mother ocean crashing thru his front door and chasing him and his wife upstairs

....in Loch Arbour was hard hit.  The ticket booth at the beach was washed a block in land

THE BOARDWALK

 

..was hard hit.  These shots were taken two or three days later.  By then it was fenced off and you couldn't get near it.

 

Ironically a lot of people that "blew, the Capt off",

themselves were blown away.  Goes round comes around.  Thier places completely trashed.  Get smart, be nice.

I've escaped

A blow job then a snow job. First there was "Hurricane Sandy". (The power was off for thirteen days.) That was followed by a snow job.

 

This kept ALF off the net for thirteen days.  The power is back on and we are up again.

INSULT

Making someone wait when you don't have to is a power trip...period

 

It's about who is more important (Ego)

That's why it is sometimes called an

"ego trip".

 

The need to exercise power indicates

doubts about it.

 

The power of denial is the only

power of the inadequate.

How do you add insult to injury?

By making someone wait a long time B4

by telling them "no".

 

It's called an open ended waiting game.

RACE

 

.....was scheduled to start @ 10 a.m.

By 11 a.m. it had not started because the tide

was coming in and had covered the race track.

I left and later heard it started @ 1:30 p.m.

 

Somebody forget to check the tide schedule?

I guess.  Better planning next time.

After thirteen years the city shut down the Tues night drum circle because the crowd had grown so large people were being forced to walk on the grass

(Not true)

 

What is success?  Crowds are good for business.

It is foolish to run off the free entertainment that attracts the crowds.

 

Now were told you can't ride your bicycle on the boardwalk because of

 

crowds.

 

The city needs to get off the obession with flow and get thier act together.

HELL

The drone incident reminded me of another story, about a guy so poor he was living in his car. 

 

When they passed compulsry auto insurance he became an automatic criminal.  He couldn't get it anyway because he didn't have an address.

 

He went and parked his car in the woods and lived in it.  Then they passed the compulsry health insurance law.  He couldn't afford that and one day was arrested.

 

In jail he was told he was a criminal and had to pay for his stay.  If he couldn't pay he had to stay until he could.

 

He died in jail.  He went to hell of course.  Conditions there were so bad he died again and went to a deeper, darker hell and has never been seen or heard of since.

 

 



DRONES

DRONES

 

The city of Asbury Park in it's irrational

lust for power has  extended the ban on

bicyles and dogs to all year round.

According to the police chief because

there are still crowds.

 

Ever the rebel when I couldn't sleep the other night I decided that some fresh air might help.  I jumped on my bicycle and headed to the boardwalk at 3 am. 

 

Wasn't a soul in sight.  Suddenly a bright lite appeared in the sky.  It was a drone.  A dis-embodied voice said, "No bike riding on the

boardwalk." Then a blue laser beam shot across my path and burned the boardwalk.

 

I jumped off my bike and walked it off the boardwalk.  A week later I recieved a ticket in the mail.

 

 They wanted three hundred and seventy five dollars for riding my bike on the board walk.  A hundred and twenty five dollars for the cost of the laser shot and a hundred and twenty five dollars to repair the boardwalk.  I had a week to pay,  If I did not pay immeadiately there was an additional seventy five dollars a week sur charge added.  If I did not pay by the end of the month I would be arrested. 

 

I guess the city is trying to make up that million dollar shortfall in the budget.

 

Gotta' sign off quick, there's a knock at the door and a drone hovering outside my window.

 



RECENT WORK 10/16/12

FAILURE

 

 It was all over this site 

 

 

I sent out press releases to the local papers three weeks in advance.  The Coaster put it in thier calender but Tri City News that bastion of creative and alternative ignored it.

 

I put up forty plus posters around town.  Put it on

Craigs list for Jersey Shore and NYC

under artist, events and local news.

 

The week before I reposted. adding Philly, North and South Jersey.

 

I wrote all over Asbury Park in chalk giving time and date.  It was on the city blinking sign in Sunset Park.

 

Not one single artist showed up.  There was absolutely no support from the local art community, not even the local art supply store showed.

 

Not more than a half dozen people came to see.

 

I tried my best but you can only do so much with what you have to work with. (cultural pygmys)
