ACCOMPLISHMENT

ALF was instrumental in getting the

Performers ordinance passed so boardwalk 

performers can put down a hat for tips instead of getting a ticket

There was a butterfly that was irresistibly drawn to the

BLUE FLAME OF TRUTH

  

It fluttered around the flame frantically trying to escape the magnetic pull........!!!

But it knew in the end there was no way to escape it

The only way to know the truth is to plunge into it which was certain death

It resisted as long as it could but realized in the end what had to be, had to be and plunged into the blue flame of truth and was instantly turned into a puff of smoke and a bit of ash

MORAL

To "finish" our spiritual journey we must be

MICRO AGGRESIONS

Then I came across an explanation on the net

 Two college students are having a discussion When asked one of them gestures toward a group and identifies someone saying the "black guy"

The other guy accuses him of a micro-aggression  And labels him a racist, with a scarlet "R"

He sed you could have been neutral and sed the guy with the red tennis shoes 

.......when evidence supports what you want to believe

A long comes George Floyd  Then in it's a white cop with his knee on a black man's neck instead of somebody with their knee on someone else's neck who has red tennis shoes

...then it changes

Further Thoughts

Play this guy an hour of aggressive threatening rap music 

and he'll be unable to recognize that aggression or excuse it

as O.K.

Then point out to them that wanting to decide what I say in and of itself is not a micro aggression but full blown 

MACRO AGGRESSION

Bottom line, NO  Safety is a popular illusion that people must believe in be cause the alternative is too freighting and destabilizing

People die from bullets, knives, diseases in the place they consider to be the safest, their bed, all the time

NOTE:  Bullets do not stop viruses 

I started driving cab at night in L.A in the mid 60's  Was it safe?  NO  I started carrying a .25 automatic in my boot till I discovered it didn't shoot

(For the record, twice I've had guns pointed at my head during robberies, witnessed gun fire not to mention knives, fists, clubs and bottles)

Then I started carrying a Used Minolta  Over ten years I shot 32 roles of 36 exps.  Eventually I published a book of those photos which was completely ignored

People asked....were you afraid ?

YES...!!

but not nearly afraid as I've been on a small boat in an open ocean alone at night...especially if the weather is nasty
