VIOLET
This is
VIOLET MEDINA
In the 70's we lived on Monte Vista St in the Highland Park section of L.A. Sabrina, my daughter had a little playmate who lived down the alley It was Violet
After the divorce when I would get Sabrina for a day she would always ask if she could bring Violet Violets father wasn't around so I became "de-facto Dad"
She lives on the W coast now but paid us a visit Here we are in my room at Phillips Sea View Towers
BAAAAD !!! NEWS
BAAAD NEWS
I believe it was Aug 25 I called the security guard to call an ambulance I think I called my daughter also
The next thing I remember is waking up in the hospital
Had an "aortic aneurism". Not good One of the blood vessels on the heart split open Came that close to leaving Not suprising after years of violent coughing from smoking weed
I believe I was in the recovery room for a couple of days then was transferred to sorta of a holding place I was told I would be transferred to a another hospital for re-hab at 4 PM (It was 2PM)
They did not come until 2 AM It was hell The nurses were in different I kept begging for pain pills I started hallucinating The walls were covered with ants
I was transferred to River view hospital in Red Bank, NJ. I had been there two years earlier when I had a stroke in 2017
This is Julia She was my physical Therapist in 2017
She was the light of my life When she came into the room it was like a sparkling ray of sunshine She would softly wake me with "Mr Meyers" I did what ever she asked so she would smile That made me feel better
These were a couple of my current nurses I regret that I can't put names to them but I here by nominate them for saint hood
I was like a celebrity patient because a lot of the nurses remembered me from before
Let me be on record in praise of the entire staff Every one was eager to help and were completely selfless
I was horribly embarrassed when I had to have my butt cleaned They helped me thru that
I'm at a loss for names but must mention;
Adam A shining star
Minny A solid rock
Jenny
Renee Fell in love with her
Sarah A ray of sunshine
And all the Philippino's
All of them anxious and eager to help Not a word of complaint or attitude
Thank all of you from the bottom of my heart
Hope to never see you again under similar circumstances
