On the front page of the local paper,
The Coaster, it sed:
Neptune (N.J., Danny DeVitto's home town)
seeks $80,000 Grant to "study"
illegal drug use
How do you study illegal drug use? Do you acquire some illegal drugs and submit them to laboratory tests? Do you take videos of teens getting hi, ask them questions? How does it feel? Do you like it?
Do you hang out on corners interviewing dealers.
How do you use $80,000 to study illegal drugs? Who gets paid?
Why do you need to study them? What is it we don't know by now? What do you hope to discover that isn't already known?
Do you really need to spend that much money on what is already known.
I'll save you some money. Ask me I'll tell you what you want to know and do it for let's say
$8,000
A massive savings
A careful reading of the article (p 5) sez the money is
to combat drug use among teens. Someone else sez they hope it would make a "significant difference".
Totally ludicrous. What makes anyone think that after 40 yrs of failure that $80,000 more will make any difference?
It will make a "significant difference" in someone's
pocket .
