PALE GREY MIST

Love is a tower of power

Standing erect in the sky

While seagulls swirl thru

The pale grey mist of memories

A certain woman is on my mind

Sometimes

I contemplate the lotus feet of GOD

Amber waves of grain

Crash upon the shore of my soul

And fill the void of my yearning

Reasons for being stand to be counted

All are found wanting

I talk, I exist in memories of pale grey mist

Movie crews reel in rolls of tourist

From bloody boards

Carnival lights blink in the night

Only God knows the darkness of my soul

Seas of seamen squirt

From enormous erections

Returning my attention forever and again

To my strawberry blond friend

Why pretend I'll love her and it

Till the end

Secret sins win again
