SHEPPARD FAIREY

Note:  Capt Flash is from the same area of L.A. that Fairey is from and met him in Charleston, S.C. when he spoke at the college there

some "site specific murals".

Doesn't he know about ARTSCRAP'S

crap, the mural ordinance. 

I talked to my sources at Parlor Gallery who told me that an attempt had been made to aquire permits but the committee that is to review them is no more and the city is dragging it's feet on granting permission.

The question is will Fairey violate the ordinance law?  We kinda' hope he does so we can shine a spotlight on the absurdity of the thing.

I might have mentioned this before that the first ARTSCRAP  meeting I attended they were praising someone named Von Suskill for getting it passed.  I thought to myself, "how stupied".  The very last thing you want to do is give the power of denial to non artistic, administrative types. Give 'em a chance to say "NO" and they will.

Then there was the fiasco around the mural on Bond Street by local artist Porkchop where some woman called the cops and got him to stop.  Yours truely did some work on the side of Johhny Mac's with out a permit and never heard a word about it.

ALF thinks the ord. should be renamed the PORKCHOP ord. cause apparently he is the only one that it applies to.
