NOTE;
There is a twenty dollar performers permit
that allows you to put a hat down for tips
anywhere on the boardwalk or in the town.
These are obtained at city hall next to the train station. It is good for the season.
If you do not have a license you can perform in the
FREE CULTURE ZONE
(FCZ)
Which runs from the end of the casino to the
OCEAN GROVE LINE
Traffic is not as heavy here but the price is right.
Asbury Park is a about an hour and a half by train from the city along the NJ Transit shore route. One way fare is fifteen dollars.
You can play next to the Stone Pony. You might even run into Bruce Springsteen.
Food and lodgeing available of course
but it ain't cheap to sleep.
Tired of the city. To hot, to crowded?
Take a break.
Enjoy a weekend performing at the shore.
