Seems the BBC in England censored the word

GIRL

'cus on the outside chance somebody somewhere might find it offensive. Girl being derogatory instead of woman and/or lady, etc.

A member of Parliament expressed an idea that I 

mentioned in a previous post.

...it will get to the point where you will not be able to carry on a conversation because so many words are banned.

Things have changed dramatically from the days of Mario Savio and the free speech movement.  Not for the better.

George Orwell said, freedom of speech is being able to say something someone else doesn't approve of.

Comedians know you can't make jokes without offending someone. Not everyone gets humor.  But because someone is offended by something that doesn't bother others doesn't mean it should be banned.

Who gets to decide who gets to say what?

Freedom of expression is just that.  It doesn't say except for racial, gender or religious slurs.  It is not qualified on children being present.

If you can decide for me what I can say, can I decide what you can say?

I previously mentioned not being able to say;

AMAZING

AWESOME

and

COOL

That alone would collapse the internet entirely.

Suppose that we banned the word

RACIST

and/or

Bigot, Biased, Prejudice
