PORT TOWNSEND

PORT TOWNSEND

...is at the very top of Washington St.
on the straits of Juan de Fuca.
It is across the water from Victoria, BC

It had a glory day when it thought it was
 gonna' be "the port."

They built a railroad...to...Tacoma.
End of glory, beginning of decline.
A lot of the ornate architecture is still
there.

Strange as it may be the town is lily white.
The only brown faces were in the Mexican restaurant.

Not a lot of young people.  Mostly middle age, back woods types with facial hair.

Spent the holidays there with my niece.  It
was nice to get to know her again.
She didn't have a TV or computer so I
drank wine and smoked legal weed all day long.

Long time local theater serves food
and beverage with the film

Rained a lot.  I think the area is classified
as a rain forest

Coffee shop on the water

Local mural

The back steps.  I like the orange green contrast

Morning coffee on the back porch
of the drive thru

Coffee girls

Came for breakfast

Where I got my morning sun when it was there
along with a bowl and cup of coffee

The town's motto is..

We're here 'cus were not all there
