YORK BLVD.

YORK BLVD

Was a dusty, no-where place when I lived there in the 70's.  I visited five years ago.  It had grown but mostly was Mexican stores.

This time I was totally blown away.  It has become the new Melrose as in trendy.

Sidewalk cafe?  Ed is probably rolling over in his grave.

Had coffee in Elsa'a Bakery

This was one of the important see and be seen spots.
The new center for social gravity.

This woman had an interesting shop but I lost her card

Decided to get a glass of Merlot in the watering hole.
This dog was howling out front.

Talked to this guy inside

Gentrification has become the new buzz word.
Seems the white people are taking over.  The Mexicans don't like it.  What's new?

Next:  The color of York
