In 1989 after eight years of homelessness I came into a large amount of money when the ex had to buy me out of the house.

 

I wrote a book, bought a boat, took a year and taught myself how to sail then had it trailered to Corpus Christie, Texas.

 

I took four years to get to New York.  I liked Key West so much I stayed there for a couple of years.
